ABOUT ME

My name is Bethany Sherman.  I grew up in southern California, Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan.  I graduated from Kadena High School located on the island of Okinawa, Japan. My step-dad was in the Air Force, so we got to travel around some. In high school, I played basketball, volleyball, softball and soccer. I received my Bachelor of Science from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and my Master of Arts from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.  I spent two years in college playing soccer at Millikin University, before I transferred to George Mason University. I am certified to teach Physical Education and Health (grades preK-12) and Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate Needs (grades K-12). This is my 10th year working as an Intervention Specialist for Newark High School and my 15th year teaching.  I live in the Columbus area, so I commute about 45 minutes each way to and from work.  I have two beautiful daughters aged 5 and 11, whom are my life!
